The early days of Oasis were marked by poverty and drug use. The band members lived in a small apartment and often had to rely on food stamps to get by. They also spent a lot of time drinking and taking drugs.
Despite their struggles, Oasis were determined to make it as a band. They played gigs at local pubs and clubs, and they eventually gained a following. In 1993, they signed a record deal with Creation Records.
Success
Oasis's debut album, Definitely Maybe, was released in 1994. The album was a huge success, and it spawned several hit singles, including "Supersonic", "Live Forever", and "Wonderwall".
Oasis followed up Definitely Maybe with What's the Story) Morning Glory? in 1995. This album was even more successful than the first, and it cemented Oasis's status as one of the biggest bands in the world.
During this time, Oasis's drug use escalated. The band members were taking cocaine, heroin, and other drugs on a regular basis. This drug use had a negative impact on their health and their relationships.
Downfall
In the late 1990s, Oasis's popularity began to decline. The band was plagued by infighting and drug addiction. Liam and Noel Gallagher were constantly feuding with each other, and the other band members were also struggling with their own personal problems.
Oasis's final album, Don't Believe the Truth, was released in 2005. The album was a commercial failure, and it did not receive good reviews from critics.
In 2009, Oasis broke up. The band members have since gone on to pursue solo projects.
Oasis were one of the most successful and influential bands of the 1990s. Their music was a blend of catchy melodies, soaring guitars, and thought-provoking lyrics. However, the band's hedonistic lifestyle, which included heavy drug use, ultimately led to their downfall.
